God had an end result in mind when he created you! Just as an artist has a picture in mind before they paint it, and a musician has a song in their thoughts before they write it, God had a clear picture of who he wanted you to be before you were ever born. Do you know what that picture looks like? It looks a lot like Jesus. Because God has created you to be like his Son, Jesus Christ. It doesn’t happen instantaneously … it takes time to grow.

When a person comes to believe in Jesus and is baptized into his name, this is not a finish line or an ending point – it is the starting line of an exciting race. They are at the beginning of a lifelong journey that will lead to dramatic changes in their life here on earth and will culminate in an eternal relationship with God in heaven.
